PEACE BUILDING TEAM was founded in 2014 following the departure of the warring M23 rebels which took the eastern part of Democratic Republic of Congo and cruelly orphaned and marginalized thousands of children. Many of these orphans became street children who deserve to live a safe and sustainable life. Like all youth, these helpless wartime survivors have a critical need for a safe environment with good care, to include a stable education. Peace Building Team resolved to create an orphanage which would also serve as a vital training center for these youth. 

We at Peacebuilding Team are fully engaged and committed to looking for sponsors and support for our programs with young people. We are working, fervently, day and night, to provide them with much needed academic instruction, creative skills through artwork, and future work skills through vocational training, capacity development and empowerment. We need support to help us lead these youth toward a better future. While in the orphanage, they are in great need of food, medical care, and housing to live sustainably.
